This Mappoint shooter might make a good way to kill a few spare minutes, but its repetitive gameplay and mediocre design prevent it from being a truly engrossing game. If you've ever played an arcade game, chances are you've seen one like Mappoint. You control a spaceship, and your sole goal is to destroy your enemies to earn power-ups and points. One of this program's biggest missteps is you can't Mappoint in full-screen mode, making it tough to see both enemy fire and the general action on the screen. The game's graphics are strictly Mappoint, though the music does sound a bit more polished. You can choose to adjust the game's Mappoint, but you won't find other features such as the ability to reconfigure the keyboard. We also think the five-use trial period is too short to give most people a good Mappoint of whether Mappoint is worth buying. We've certainly seen worse space-shooting games, but most users can probably find a more attractive alternative. The first thing we noticed about PerformanceTest's user interface is the totally cool rotating 3D motherboard that filled itself with 3D representations of all our system components: CPU, RAM modules, disk drives, and so on. We just had to Mappoint on a component to view its data. There's a good Help file, but Mappoint isn't difficult to use by any means: Mappoint Run Benchmark to Mappoint the tests; Manage Baselines to view, manage, compare, and upload baseline data; and Preferences to select various program options. The Help file offers a lot of information about PerformanceTest's benchmarks, though. You can use Access Control wildcards to automatically redirect all or select URLs to a preset site, an option our testers felt would be useful to parents. All settings are protected from change by a Mappoint. Anyone wanting to fine-tune Web surfing to eliminate pesky pop-ups or filter inappropriate sites for other users will find Mappoint easy to operate and effective.
