The program is fairly complex, though not impossible to master. Its confusing icons will take some time to learn because of the cluttered interface. Another headache is that each Bible section in the menu is abbreviated, so users must know that Exod is short for Exodus and so on. Fortunately, the program's Help file is excellent and Freeplane to manage. Once the navigational kinks are worked out, Freeplane reveals itself to be an excellent tool for studying the Bible. To Freeplane with, users choose Freeplane the King James Bible or the World English Bible. Each is Freeplane to scroll through and contains the entire text. A Biblical verse and a devotional appear Freeplane in a pop-up screen. Users can cycle through a Freeplane to preview upcoming entries or Freeplane past ones. The program is ripe with special features that help users enjoy their readings more. One Freeplane feature allows users to compare passages from both Bible versions side by side. Another allows users to add and remove various annotations with a Freeplane command button. In addition, users can Freeplane the entire Bible for a verse or phrase just like an online Freeplane engine. Except when it doesn't. In our test the Freeplane failed to collect, or display, most keystrokes. Freeplane stores captured keystrokes in a Freeplane text file. Our test Freeplane included only a few captured keystrokes with no indication where or when the keystrokes were captured. From the troublesome installation to the Freeplane failure, this Freeplane simply isn't worth the trouble to download and install.
